We, Aquality Research Group, are an enervating, enterprising and innovating group of students from Wageningen University who are currently working on a project in Ain Leuh on drinking water and sustainable agriculture. To realise this we want to improve the used technologies, not by just bringing in new ones, but by an exchange programme with a sustainable farm. Experts could really learn from the traditional ways used by you, the farmers in Ain Leuh, and vice versa, the farmers in Ain Leuh could learn about new techniques from the experts. Using a meticulously organised programme, which puts emphasis on the transfer of knowledge between the farmers and the experts, we’ll develop more sustainable farms in Ain Leuh with a high participation rate of the farmers.
The exchange program
During the exchange week you will meet various farmers and entrepreneurs. While you are taking a guided tour around the farms, you will have the opportunity to observe the way in which Dutch farmers work. After the tours you have time to talk with the farmers. You will also visit many businesses which offer to introduce you to their products. They will explain you how their techniques work, how it could benefit youand they can calculate how much it would cost for your farm. After the exchange week, you will be given the opportunity to purchase some of the new technologies shown during the exchange week. The year after, we will support you in the instalment and use of the new technologies and serve as a link between you and the particular companies.
In the tab partners, the companies and organisations working you can meet during the exchange program are presented. The companies offering new technologies are mentioned, and if you are interested in one of their products or services, we can help you get in contact with them. Besides that, there are some examples ofagricultural enterprises that will be visited during the programme.
